The current demo, though outdated and created in a different engine, provides a glimpse into the game's vision and objectives.

The Factions of MoonFall's Underworld

Players will interact with various vampire and non-vampire factions, each with their own agendas and rivals. Starting as a newly-initiated Familiar, players must earn favor with their masters, achieve significant feats, and prove themselves to rise through the dark hierarchy.

Player Progression and Vampirism

The ultimate goal for the player is to become a vampire, which can be achieved midway through the game. This transformation introduces new gameplay mechanics. Alternatively, players can choose to become a professional assassin, thief, or skilled lover, among other roles.

The game offers a high degree of freedom, with an optional main storyline that delves into the origins of vampires. The choice of vampire lineage significantly influences story events, making each playthrough unique.

Criminal Activities and Missions

The player's primary activities involve conducting criminal operations for their chosen lineage faction. Missions such as heists and raids take place on the overworld map, where players can encounter various groups like corporate officers, mercenaries, and rival gangs.

Encounters can be peaceful or violent, depending on the player's choices. The game does not aim to simulate a “living, breathing” RPG world but features an AI-controlled antagonist that reacts to the player's decisions, influencing faction relationships and the power dynamics within the game world.

Crew and Followers

Every Familiar needs a crew of allies, including violent cutthroats, thieves, hackers, and other skilled individuals. These followers provide additional muscle in combat and expertise outside of fighting. However, they can die permanently if not managed carefully.

Followers have loyalty scores tied to how they are treated, and neglect or abuse can lead to them turning against the player. When a player becomes a full-fledged vampire, they can promote followers to Familiars, who can then act independently, generating passive income and respect.

Respect and Hierarchy

In the Uzakh Drucah, respect is a crucial metric of the player's standing among the vampire lords. Higher respect levels unlock new opportunities, such as access to black market shops, fear from rival gangs, and better treatment from allies.

As a Familiar, the player is inherently a criminal working for sinister figures, often required to commit violent and unjust acts. While the player can adhere to their own morals and ethics, they should not expect to be hailed as a hero.

Sexual Content and Immersion

Vampires are portrayed as inherently sexual creatures, and the game includes explicit sexual content. Players will have opportunities for casual sex or long-term romances, adding to the immersive experience of the game.
